International Music Festival of Puebla Mexico

Mud Jr. and the Hoochie Coochie Boys played to a packed house on the closing evening of this week-long festival. The line-up included some of pop's great sidemen -- Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, "Mojo" Buford and Rick Kreher. The line-up was rounded out with self-described "Mudheads" Bob Stroger and Barrelhouse Chuck. After the show, Mud Jr. signed a million autographs for the blues-starved fans. It was a great show and we thank the promoters for having us!

Muddy Waters Blues Celebration

Mud Morganfield was united on stage with his "little" brother Big Bill Morganfield. Two sons of Muddy Waters on stage together for the first time! In the 12-plus years of holding blues night in Westmont, this event produced a record crowd of over 7,000 people. The line-up included Sam Lay (Rock and
Roll/Blues Hall of Fame Drummer), John "The Real Deal" Primer and Muddy's last band leader Rick Kreher! The grand finale also saw younger brother Joe Morganfield and his two young children join Mud Jr. and Big Bill on stage to sing a classic rendition of "Got My Mojo Working". It was a special night of blues that sent shivers down the spine!
